Why we built Hasil
Pakistan's middle class is growing fast. Millions of Pakistanis are earning more, spending more, and investing more than ever before. Yet the tools available for managing personal finances haven't kept pace. Most people still rely on spreadsheets, mental math, or nothing at all.
Tax season is a particular pain point. Pakistan's tax system is complex, with withholding taxes, adjustable taxes, and a web of exemptions and slabs that change every budget cycle. For the average person, filing a tax return feels like navigating a maze blindfolded, expensive if you hire a consultant, stressful if you go it alone.
We started Hasil because we lived these problems ourselves. We wanted a single place to import bank statements, automatically categorize transactions, track expenses across accounts, and generate tax-ready reports, all designed specifically for Pakistan's banking ecosystem, currency, and tax laws.
